The 36th Annual 2019 Granada Hills Holiday Parade

Dear Granada Hills Holiday Parade Participant,

There is a slight nip in the air as it can only mean that it is time to dust off the flatbed, polish the harness, fluff the pom poms, copy the sheet music and start practicing the drills!

On behalf of the dedicated members of the entire Granada Hills Parade Committee, we wish to thank you for your interest and loyal support of the Granada Hills Holiday Parade.

The 36th Annual 2019 Granada Hills Holiday Parade is scheduled for Sunday, December 8, 2019, kicking off at 1:30 P.M. Rain or Shine.

It is very important to note that forward motion of all parade entries be maintained as there is no stopping in front of Cable TV or Judging Stand locations and throughout the entire parade route.
The John V Ciccarelli Parade Awards Ceremony with light refreshments will follow immediately thereafter the Granada Hills Holiday Parade at approximately 3:45 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the Granada Hills Charter School Parking Lot near the Campus Main Gate adjacent to Corner of Zelzah Avenue and Kingsbury Street.

The year’s selected 2019 Granada Hills Holiday Parade Theme “Favorite Holiday Decorations” is a fun opportunity to share and showcase favorite holiday decorations of past and current decades in all varieties.
Encompassing holiday tree trimming, dinner table decor, gift wrapping, and home interior and yard holiday decor.

The Granada Hills Holiday Parade Committee takes great pride that it has never charged a Parade Entry Fee and derives its full financial support from the Granada Hills Community Foundation, Patriot Oil Community Trust Foundation as Administered by the North Valley Coalition and parent sponsor Granada Hills Chamber of Commerce along with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, 12th District Councilmember John Lee and our official loyal parade Community Business, Civic Organization and Service Club sponsors.

Escalating costs of major insurance coverage fees, postage, advertising, judging fees, trophies and awards, restrooms, etc all require much needed additional financing to ensure the continuation of this outstanding youth community event.

A Voluntary Tax Deductible Donation of $Thirty Five Dollars (Where Possible) payable to the Granada Hills Community Foundation is encouraged and most appreciated to help out valley-wide holiday event to continue to exist and to grow and provide a wonderful opportunity to foster pride in individual and collective youth participation.

Looking forward to seeing you on a very festive and fun-filled Sunday December Granada Hills Holiday Day!

Sincerely, Granada Hills Holiday Parade Committee

P.S. It is important and a rule requirement that all parade entries have a designated representative in attendance at the concluding parade award ceremony following the conclusion of the Granada Hills Holiday Parade at Granada Hills Charter School. This is to help facilitate the presentation of parade trophy awards, notwithstanding failure to do so will result in parade trophy forfeiture
